Up for sale is a beautiful, authentic set of 6 vintage hand-painted Capiz shell Christmas ornaments. Crafted from natural translucent windowpane oyster shells, these delicate ornaments feature a gorgeous pearlescent shimmer when held up to the light, mimicking the look of classic stained glass.
Each piece is trimmed in a protective metallic gold wire frame and comes with its original gold hanging string loop. These were popularly handcrafted and exported from the Philippines during the 1970s and 1980s and bring a perfect touch of nostalgic charm to any retro holiday tree.
These items are in very good vintage condition. The front hand-painted designs remain remarkably vibrant and clear. As is typical for genuine vintage Capiz pieces of this age, there is light, minor surface wear, fine natural lines, and subtle flaking to the clear coat visible primarily on the reverse translucent sides
