Vintage pair of carved wooden horse head bookends from Brazil.Each bookend measures approximately 6” H × 6” W × 6” D and features a dark hand-carved horse head mounted against a warm-toned wooden bookend with rustic carved-edge detailing.Original paper labels remain on the bottoms reading “Curiosidades Brasileiras – S. Paulo” with São Paulo address and telephone information.These have a wonderful vintage equestrian / folk-art appearance and would make great decor for a horse lover, library, office or study.Condition: Vintage condition with considerable age-related wear. There are scratches, finish loss and wear to the carved horse heads, particularly around the ears. One horse head has detached from its wooden base and will need to be reattached; old adhesive/residue is present. Bottom coverings and labels show significant wear and losses.
