​Up for sale is a beautiful, early vintage \"WAGNER\" Sidney -O- No. 8 cast iron skillet. This is a fantastic piece of American culinary history that features an inset heat ring and the highly collectible \"Wagner\" in quotation marks.

​Markings: \"WAGNER\" / SIDNEY / -O- / 8 (on the bottom)

​Size: #8 (approx. 10.5 inches in diameter)

​Base: Heat Ring

​Cooking Surface: Exceptionally smooth and ready for your favorite meals.

​Condition Notes: This skillet has a very slight wobble, making it ideal for gas ranges, electric coil stoves, or campfires. As shown in the photos, there is prominent sulfur pitting on the bottom exterior—a wonderful testament to its age and past life over coal or wood stoves—but this does not affect its exceptional cooking performance.

​Our Restoration Process:

This skillet has been meticulously brought back to life. It was completely stripped down to bare metal using a lye bath and electrolysis to safely remove all decades-old carbon buildup and rust. It was then freshly seasoned with our custom protective balm made from a blend of grapeseed oil, sunflower oil, and beeswax. It is completely food-safe, non-stick ready, and waiting to be the centerpiece of your kitchen.

Cast iron requires respect, especially in transit! We carefully pack all of our skillets using custom-cut foam pool noodles around the rim and handle to ensure your new antique is fully protected from drops and impacts during shipping.
