Collection of nine vintage photographic reproductions of important Civil War photographs, accompanied by their original matching typed Ansco-Binghamton, New York historical caption cards. Images include Ulysses S. Grant, Robert E. Lee, Winfield Scott Hancock, Joseph Hooker, Fredericksburg/Marye’s Heights and other Civil War subjects. Several captions reference the Ansco Historical Collection and photographs made from original glass plates; others credit the National Archives or Library of Congress. These are later historical photographic prints and are not original Civil War-period photographs.
