This is a very rare dairy clock from 1966, it was All-Star dairy Gardiner dairy company, which was located in Kansas and Missouri. The factory was in Lawrence, Kansas, and there was some distribution in southern Missouri, the clock works perfectly and the face is Glass opposed to plastic
The housing is all original Paint excellent condition in a light blue, I have had it professionally serviced/new transformer, bulb and starter, keeps perfect time measures approximately 15 x 15 setting the clock with the stem is sometimes finicky, but a couple of tries, and it turns the hands fine. It is made in Kentucky Covington Co. excellent condition no fading on the glass well preserved. When it was professionally serviced, I had them take a picture of the date code of 1966.
Very few examples appear publicly. Searches of sale records and collector marketplaces turn up only an occasional listing for an All-Star Dairy lighted clock, unlike clocks from national brands such as Borden’s or Dairy Queen, which appear much more frequently.
* It was made for a regional dairy. Gardiner Dairy was not a national chain, so far fewer advertising clocks were produced compared with those for major dairy companies.
* Most surviving examples were used in stores. Lighted advertising clocks hung in grocery stores, where many were discarded, damaged, or converted when stores remodeled.
* Collector demand is strong. Regional advertising, dairy memorabilia, and vintage illuminated clocks all have dedicated collectors, which increases interest when a scarce piece comes on the marke
