Hemba Mask from Democrattic Republic of Congo
The function of this type mask remains obscure. It features a large intricate cheeks in its face with carved almond shaped eyes, protruding ears with encrustation, a long pointed nose,a large mouth and teethwith baboon\'s butt atop its head. This mask was used in So\'o, a semi-secret society.
