Offered is an authentic vintage Adlake railroad padlock made for the Norfolk & Western Railway (N&W).
The lock has the classic heavy stamped-steel Adlake body with hinged shackle and attached railroad chain. The front lever is prominently embossed ADLAKE, while the reverse is stamped N&W along with patent marking PAT. 2040482.
This is a desirable piece of original railroad hardware for collectors of Norfolk & Western memorabilia, railroad locks, Adlake products, railway hardware, or industrial antiques.
Important:
No key is included. The lock is therefore being sold as an untested collectible. The shackle is presently closed, as shown in the photographs.
