Up for sale is a vintage ACR Firefly 2 Emergency Rescue Strobe Light (Product No. 3995). This is the manual slider switch version, famous for its rugged build and high visibility.
PLEASE NOTE: This item is being sold strictly AS-IS for PARTS OR REPAIR due to an electrical defect.
Condition Details & Defect:
• The exterior casing is in good cosmetic condition with typical light scuffs from storage, but no major cracks.
• DEFECT: The light has an internal circuit issue. As soon as batteries are inserted, the strobe turns on and flashes continuously, even when the manual slider switch is in the OFF position. Moving the switch to ON does not change the behavior; it stays on regardless of switch position.
• The battery compartment is clean, and the sealing gasket is intact.
This would make an excellent project piece for someone handy with electronics repair, a great source of vintage replacement parts for another unit, or a cool addition to a military/maritime safety collection.
