Vintage 48-Star US Navy Ensign No. 7 Cotton (?) Flag 58” x 9 ft US ENS
Vintage 48-star United States Navy ensign, Size No. 7. Measures exactly 58 inches (hoist) by 9 feet (fly). Official 48-star design in use 1912–1959. Cotton bunting construction with sewn stripes and machine-appliquéd stars (zigzag stitching). Canvas header with metal grommets, stamped “US ENS 7”.
Found folded in a flag case. Shows typical age and use: scattered small holes, some fraying, minor staining/toning, and creases from long-term folded storage.
Overall structure remains intact; stars and major seams are secure. No manufacturer’s label noted.
