Vintage 48\" Original Farnsworth Chief Pontiac Litho GM Pontiac Dealership Sign For Sale

Vintage 48\" Original Farnsworth Chief Pontiac Litho GM Pontiac Dealership Sign

Nice early vintage shape. Shows some wear and age. Has damage in the lower left corner as shown. Has scuffing and some minor loss throughout. Has light patina and staining. Has 2 loose metal frame tabs inside that I can not get to without taking it out of the frame. So they\'re there, but they don\'t seem to be moving around. The Pontiac company commisioned Jerry Farnsworth to do the original painting in 1935. They then made lithograph copies and distributed them to their dealerships to hang in the showrooms to celebrate their ten year anniversary. I do not know which dealership this particular one hung in. It is a lithograph print on thick fiberboard/cardboard. I believe the frame is original, but it does appear to have probably been reframed at some point. Frame measures 48x34\". Due to its size it will be expensive to ship. Pickup is welcome in/near Galesburg IL. This is a hard to find piece in any condition. It displays well, and has alot of character.
