Capture the absolute peak of 16-bit Nintendo nostalgia with this museum-grade, collector-focused 1993–1994 print media lot.
Original print advertisements from the early days of Mario's educational spin-offs are exceptionally difficult to find in clean, uncirculated condition. Most copies from this era were heavily handled, and promotional sweepstakes coupons were routinely clipped out by readers with scissors. This curated two-piece lot features vibrant color saturation, sharp edges, and the holy grail for ephemera collectors: fully intact, unclipped structural entry forms.
Item 1: Mario's Time Machine! Feature & Jurassic Period Promo
The Piece: An official, single-page print advertisement highlighting the multi-platform release of Mario's Time Machine across NES, Super NES, and IBM PC.
Visual Appeal: Features vivid, striking character art of Mario piloting his time-travel capsule face-to-face with a massive, detailed Jurassic T-Rex, alongside preview boxes and product information details.
Item 2: The Software Toolworks "Out Of This World" Sweepstakes Ad
The Piece: A stunning promotional page tied directly to Mario's Time Machine and Mario Is Missing!, promoting a massive $21,000 prize pool featuring grand-prize computer systems, Schwinn bikes, and Rollerblades.
The Rarity Factor: 100% Unclipped Entry Form. At the bottom right corner sits the original mail-in sweepstakes entry box, completely intact. Because nearly all children cut these forms out in the spring of 1994, finding a surviving copy with an unblemished, whole coupon block is extraordinarily scarce.
Reverse Side: Features a comprehensive April 1994 review page for the Sega Genesis cult classic Skitchin' (Game Players, Page 56) with complete category ratings and retro graphic layouts.
Why This Lot Stands Out:
This pair serves as the ultimate companion set for any serious Mario historian or retro game room display curator. You are getting double-sided historical artifacts featuring exceptional color preservation and the rare unclipped sweepstakes provenance.
