Vintage Vandor Imports Celestial Moon & Star mug, made in Japan for Vandor Imports of San Francisco, from the line dated 1978.
Deep, glossy cobalt blue glaze with gold stars and a gold shooting star trailing across the body. The handle is a figural crescent moon with a sculpted face, finished in a metallic silver lustre. This is the small, after-dinner size from the line, about 3 inches tall, the same series as the Vandor cup-and-saucer sets and moon-and-star salt and pepper shakers.
