Both pieces were individually glazed, kiln-fired, signed and dated 1985 by the ceramicist who finished them. The male has the molded ©1975 Arnel’s mark on the underside. The 1975 date identifies the original mold copyright—not the year the finished piece was completed. The female is signed and dated 1985 but does not carry a molded manufacturer’s mark.
These are vintage hobby-studio ceramics made from commercial molds rather than factory-painted figurines. Because they were individually glazed and fired, the colors and details are unique to this matched pair.
