This piece is distinct from the later 1996 cloisonné recreation produced for Walt Disney World\'s 25th Anniversary. Collector documentation for that later edition notes that Disney recreated earlier anniversary pieces whose originals included plastic pins/buttons.
PROVENANCE: This piece comes directly from the personal Disney collection of Dennis Lee Mecham, the seller\'s stepfather, and remained within the Mecham family following his death. Mecham worked for Disney/WED and is documented in Disney history in connection with the Matterhorn\'s Abominable Snowman effects, including providing its distinctive roar.
