Vintage Bing & Grøndahl “Merete” porcelain figurine, model 2304, depicting a young girl lying on her stomach while reading an open book. Designed by Danish artist Svend Jespersen and finished in B&G’s soft underglaze colors, including a deep blue pleated skirt, white blouse, gray-brown hair and warm pink shoes.The underside carries the three-tower B&G Kjøbenhavn backstamp, “Made in Denmark,” blue B&G initials, model number 2304 and an “S” decorator mark.
