From one scout who kept a scrapbook of all things scouting from his La Salle Ill Troup 11.
The scrapbook is full of articles and items from this time in the Scouts. Including tickets to the 1939 and 1940 Illinois State Fair. All 5 Boy Scout Id Books from 1937-1942.
He received his Eagle Scout in January 1942 and then enlisted in the US Navy for WWII.
Also it includes the merit badge cards for each merit badge he received on this Sash.
So it comes with his Sash with all the merit badges sew on, plus pins from that era and a patch for the W.D. Boyce Pilgrimage - Dedication from 1941!
Also included is his Boy Scout Hatchet with original blade cover! BridgePort brand with Boy Scouts stamped in the metal. He carved his initials in it D. M. Plus he carved notches probably for each campout he attended?
Just an amazing grouping of a piece of history.
