A beautiful 1927 Cardinal and White annual from Whittier Union High School with a wonderful group of period ephemera preserved inside.
This copy feels especially personal—rather than extensive inscriptions, it includes a curated collection of original student keepsakes tucked throughout the pages. Included are school programs, grade reports, banquet materials, paper memorabilia, and a few charming personal touches that remained with the book over the years.
The red embossed cover displays exceptionally well and the interior graphics and layout have that classic late-1920s yearbook style collectors love. One page includes attached childhood photographs (“Senior Infants”) and there are additional items preserved between pages.
Wonderful piece for collectors of school memorabilia, genealogy, California history, Whittier history, or display.
Condition
Pre-owned vintage condition. Cover remains exceptionally attractive with strong color and light expected age wear. Front binding is beginning to pull away slightly at the hinge but book remains intact. Includes a small collection of original tucked-in ephemera including school papers, programs, report cards/grade slips, banquet booklet, and other student keepsakes. Some pages show age toning and there are scattered signatures/inscriptions but not heavily signed. Please review all photos carefully for condition and contents.
