You are viewing an extensive original photograph archive from the Pence family of Indiana, spanning the 1920s through the 1940s. This collection includes over 50 vintage photographs and real photo postcards, featuring:
• A large-format panoramic photograph of a WWII Army company formation
• Original occupation-era snapshots from Tokyo and Manila, several with period handwritten captions (“The home of the enlisted men in Tokyo Japan, 1946,” “The G.H.Q.’s Headquarters building”)
• The 1943 Harrison Township Senior Class composite photograph
• Family snapshots including named individuals, automobiles, farm scenes, and everyday life
• A cabinet card military portrait
Photos range in size from approximately 2x3” to full panoramic format. Condition varies with age — general wear, edge softening, and light creasing consistent with 80+ year old photographs; please review all photos carefully as they are part of the description. A wonderful research resource for genealogists, WWII occupation historians, or collectors of American vernacular photography.
