Vintage 1910s Used Valentine Chromolithograph-style Printed Cherub Layered in Original Box that says Art Valentine No. 50.
Circa 1900–1920 (roughly 105–125 years old), most likely Edwardian/early 20th-century American or German-made stand-up Valentine. This is a dimensional/die-cut heart-shaped Valentine card designed to stand on its own (note the small rounded feet/tabs at the bottom).
Key period features include:Chromolithograph-style printed cherub (Cupid) visible through a heart-shaped cutout/window, holding a red heart with the classic “To my Valentine” text.
Applied paper rose “scraps” (die-cut floral embellishments) at the top and smaller floral-heart stickers lower down.Gold-edged cardstock with age-toned (beige/cream) paper.Blue tulle/net/gauze ruffled trim framing the outer edge—a fabric embellishment sometimes used on fancier Valentines of the era (alongside more common paper lace).
These elaborate, layered, or stand-up Valentines were popular from the late Victorian period into the 1910s–1920s, produced by makers such as Whitney, Raphael Tuck, German exporters, or similar U.S. firms.
