Up for sale is an original, vintage Vietnam War-era U.S. Military M1 Helmet Liner, custom-painted for identification on live-fire training lines. This high-pressure composite liner features a high-gloss black finish adorned with a prominent red horizontal identification band bordered by clean white pinstripes. The side is stenciled/decaled with "RANGE OFFICER".The front center features the original 172nd Infantry Brigade ("Blackhawk Brigade") shield insignia decal showing a white sword and a star over a split blue and red background. The 172nd Infantry Brigade spent the Vietnam and Cold War eras specialized in arctic operations out of Fort Richardson and Fort Wainwright, Alaska.
