Antique & Vintage Photographs EST. 1998 Victorian Girl Long Haired Tabby Cat Wicker Table Portrait 1890s VTG Photo
This is a silver gelatin photograph that has been skimmed from an album page and is 3¾ x 5 inches (96x128mm).
It shows a full-length studio portrait of a young girl seated next to a large, long-haired cat, dating to the c.1890s-1900s. The girl, with curly light-coloured hair, wears a light-coloured dress and lace-up boots. She is seated in a bentwood chair and looks towards the cat.
The cat, a tabby, is lying on a two-tiered wicker or bamboo table and appears to be interacting with something the girl is holding near it. The setting is simple, with a plain, light-coloured backdrop.
