Offered here is aVery Small and Early Antique Copper Tip Soldering Iron my No. 2, Blacksmith Made- you can see the \'weld line at the base of the copper tip holder and the iron rivets used to hold it in place - this is an early one approx.12\"long with the wooden handle. Copper head is approx. 3/4\" X 9/16\" X 3 1/8\" long. The current handle is approx. 1 1/8: wide the iron shank; the iron shank is approx 3/8\" wide but tapers almost to apoint inside the handle [I would guess]. Nice with some typical use wear on the copper old solder residue on the tip. Came from a local house - the elderly lady said her grandfather was a plumber beginning in the late 1800\'s until about 1920.
