Very rare, vintage, 1988, custom-made-to -order, V.E. (Gene) Harrison, 17.75'' short sword. A one-of-a-kind, beautifully made, upswept sword with excellent craftsmanship, fit & finish. 154CM stainless steel blade with full tang construction, a single-handed, amofferextrous design & build. The handle is made of cocobolo wood scales with brass pins and features a hand-made, dimpled & textured, full hand guard. Completely hand-made by V.E. Harrison, this Japanese-style sword is a highly sought-after collectible for enthusiasts of knives, swords, and blades and a beautiful, one-of-one piece. Upswept, trailing blade with a trailing point. Hand honed, polished with a wicked sharp blade. 17.75'' OAL. 12.5'' blade. .25'' guard. 5'' handle. 15 oz. weight. Great balance & excellent feel in hand. Comes with a nice, leather belt sheath that was custom-made for the sword and matches it, but the blade fits in it a little loosely. Was made a little too wide. Still fits in it well, though. "V.E. Harrison" is hand signed/inscribed on the ricasso, right next to the guard. Spider engraving. An outstanding and awesome piece in excellent, collector-grade condition.
