Very Old Rare Vintage Small Size TRI PAK Sperm Whale Base GUN OIL Can Odd Bottle For Sale

A tough to find small 1930'sTRI PAK gun oil plastic bottleis for sale. It is very unusual to find any sperm whale based oils remaining these days. Sperm oil production was banned in 1970. This gun oil has it and the smell confirms it (sperm oil stinks for those unaware). I put a decent red plastic cap on the bottle as the original lead cap deteriorated over the decades. I will include the remains of the lead cap for the winning buyer for verification. The plastic cap keeps the odor confined and will help prevent leakage during transport. If you want to keep the originality of the bottle, lead caps can be found on other old oil cans, but be aware that they come in different sizes and may not screw on well. I tried a few of my own lead caps but they did not screw on well, they just sat loose on top.I would consider this item to be in Good - Very Good condition. The inside label is quite legible although folding up inside from age. The 10 photos should show everything well. I would guess that this oiler was originally a 2 ounce size. It is oddly shaped with straight sides on front and back, yet curved on the rest. Quite a bit of history with this item that was made in San Francisco.
