Very Nice and Rich Copper in Calcite - Quincy Mine, Michigan For Sale

COPPER in CALCITE:Quincy Mine, Hancock, Houghton Co., Michigan, USA. Dimensions: 8.5 x 6.7 x 3.9cm, small cabinet. A single, relatively large semi-transparent Calcite crystal is included with an absolute abundance of bright, shiny Native Copper crystal flakes within. There is so much included Copper that the Calcite glows copper-orange! The scalenohedral Calcite is large, at three-and-a-half inches, is fairly well-formed for the display face with one side only complicated by all of the Native Copper burrs that protrude from it! There is also a relatively large, 1.5 cm Copper burr on the opposite side of the specimen that protrudes about 1 cm above the surface. The back is essentially flat and represents the surface from where the crystal was attached to the cavity wall. Michigan calcites with Copper came from several mines in the district, but almost all of them came out almost 100 years ago! Please do not make me offers on this piece as it is priced more than reasonably, thank you. Buyer pays USPS Priority Mail shipping and any insurance.
