This is 25 grams of vanadium metal in solid metal chunks. The purity is 99.9% (3N). The chunks have a silvery luster, as in the photo.
Vanadium is named after Vanadis, a name of the Norse goddess Freyja, because of the many colors of its compounds. Vanadium suits element collections and periodic table displays, and also research and small scale lab work. It is used in high strength steel and superalloy development, chemical catalysis and surface coatings, and sputtering targets for electronics.

Handling and storage
Keep the pieces in the sealed bag in a dry place, so the surface does not oxidize. Wear gloves when handling to keep the surface clean.
Packing and shipping
We pack the sample in a sealed plastic bag with padding, in a padded envelope or a box. We ship from Almaty, Kazakhstan by Kazpost registered air mail with a tracking number, within 5 business days after payment.
