For sale I have The Malatesta by Valiant Armoury, in very good condition. The sword has been sharpened and used for light cutting. There are some abrasions toward the tip of the blade from cutting. The scabbard has a few small dings/scratches and the leather on the inside of the mouth shows wear. The blade will slide out of the scabbard if turned upside-down. No belt. Free shipping!

Valiant Armoury’s Craftsman Series swords are made in the USA. The Malatesta is a premium quality sword, matched with an exquisite scabbard. The sword is responsive and well-balanced, suitable for both cut and thrust.The 5160 spring steel blade has been normalized twice prior to the heat treat, in order to refine the grain structure of the steel to produce a more uniform distribution of carbon content throughout the blade. The steel was polished prior to tempering to check for cracks and inclusions, then tempered to a Rockwell 52 hardness for strength, resiliency and toughness. The blade was then hand finished and sharpened to an apple-seed edge.The crossguard and pommel are steel and the blade is mounted into the hilt with a durable and robust hot-peen assembly. The grip is made from stabilized wood and bound in quality leather. Included with the sword is matched premium scabbard of wood which is overlaid in fine leather and completed with metal fittings and an adjustable sword belt of thick leather for wear.
