Up for sale is this stunning Thompson Block Meerschaum pipe, manufactured by Laxey (Isle of Man)
Rare African Block Meerschaum: Carved from porous Tanzanian meerschaum that is no longer produced; the Tanganyika Meerschaum Corporation mines permanently closed in the early 2000s, making these vintage pipes highly collectible.
Excellent vintage previously smoked condition, very well preserved and most apparently lightly used.
Please note the Nickel Cap (band) is loose and has a slight split. The band stays in place fine w/ the P-lip style stem in place. Of course it may be re-glued, or removed altogether. Modification or repair left to buyer. Priced accordingly.
