This product is a vintage Royal Coach "Carriage" jewelry box with an AM transistor radio by Federal. This Royal Coach Carriage comes in a rare beautiful red color and is embellished with gold toned Carriage wheels, window trim, Carriage lamps, and many Federal Royal embellishments.
This item is made from plastic, metal, and wiring. It also comes in its original factory coded box the is intact. However, the box is a bit distressed from age. It is a single unit made in Hong Kong in the late 1960s or so. The radio is in working condition with clean battery connector, however the original battery cover is missing.
This rarity Premium red colored Royal Coach Carriage would be a unique and collectible piece for anyone interested in radios or vintage items. The California Prop 65 Warning is not applicable to this product.
SPECIAL collector note: this listing is for the scarce but highly sought after RED BODY VARIANT of the Royal Coach. The vintage original retail box displays the standard flagship white version on the graphic panel, but contains the factory-applied red variant designation dot on the side of the box, signaling it's true unwrapped, factory original color match!
This item is pre-owned. It is in very nice condition. The outer box however does show the wear and test of time over the years. So much so that the glue seam of the box has worn away. The box can be preserved by taping the seam or carefully applied sealant to reseal the box seam.
Pictures are included. The original instructions for this radio, and the battery is also included in the box. (The battery is not attached to the radio in anyway, but stored in a Styrofoam compartment.)
