Wonderful vintage American-made molded glass Christmas ornament, measuring approximately 2.5” tall x 1.5” wide.
This ornament has an unusual elongated oval shape with a heavily molded, textured design featuring vertical ribs and decorative patterned panels. The brilliant red finish really emphasizes the raised glass pattern and gives the ornament wonderful sparkle and dimension on the tree.
The metal cap is clearly embossed MADE IN U.S.A. The ornament is consistent with the Corning-made ornaments marketed by Premier and other American ornament companies of the period. Because the cap itself does not identify the brand, I am describing it as Premier/Corning style rather than guaranteeing a specific retail brand.
Condition is good vintage condition with authentic age-related wear. The red finish remains wonderfully bright overall, with areas of finish loss, spotting, oxidation and surface wear visible throughout. This wear is shown closely in the photos and adds to its genuine vintage character. I see no obvious cracks or major chips.
