This is an exceptionally rare, original World Trade Center Observation Deck thermometer / desk paperweight featuring the iconic Twin Towers-era Port Authority branding. It sat on the desk of the former Fire Safety Chief coordinator of WTC Port Authority.
Front reads:
“The Observation Deck at the World Trade Center – The Highest Outdoor Viewing Platform in the World”
Also marked The Port Authority with the period New York telephone and Telex information. The lower portion features Fahrenheit and Celsius temperature markings.
This is an unusual piece of original World Trade Center memorabilia and appears to be significantly less common than typical postcards, brochures, keychains, or souvenir models. A great addition to a collection of New York City memorabilia, Port Authority material, Twin Towers collectibles, architectural history, or pre-9/11 World Trade Center souvenirs.
