Up for sale is a fantastic piece of vintage Americana humor! This is a solid stamped brass novelty pinback badge featuring the tongue-in-cheek title "OFFICIAL U.S. TAXPAYER" boldly embossed around the rim, framing a prominent central "US". Dating back to the mid-20th century (circa 1960s–1970s), these medals were popular satirical gift items and political gag tokens worn during tax season or kept as desk curiosities. * Material: Solid Stamped Brass

* Attachment: Features a heavy-duty, horizontal safety-pin style clasp soldered securely to the back.
* Markings: Unmarked / No manufacturer hallmark (standard for mass-produced novelty items of this era).Condition:
Excellent vintage condition. The brass exhibits a beautiful, authentic aged patina with natural darkening and oxidation on both sides, giving it wonderful historical character. The lettering on the front remains sharp and completely legible. The pin mechanism on the reverse is fully intact, sturdy, and functions perfectly. Please see the photos for a closer look at the exact item condition. Item will be packaged securely for shipping.
