Factory-made Carling Heidelberg double lantern wall sign (not modified), likely from the late 1960s–early 1970s when Carling Brewing Company was producing a lot of bar décor with “old tavern” aesthetics.
That “wood plank” look being molded plastic is correct and original—these were designed to mimic rustic wood while being lightweight and durable for bar use.
This is a bit of a rare find.
Callouts/talking points: both lanterns are missing loop at top. There is 1 small crack in the plastic barn wood mold but the original rope is still intact between the lights. Other than that, just light signs of use associated with previous ownership and long-term storage including scuffs and one scratch in the red lantern globe about 1 inch long that is hard to see.
This would make a nice addition to any collection.
