Up for sale is a vintage Goodell-Pratt Company hand drill featuring an open-gear wheel design with original red accent paint remaining. The crank arm is clearly stamped "Goodell-Pratt Company Toolsmiths Greenfield, Mass U.S.A." along with the patent date "PAT. MAR. 31 1896". It measures approximately 14.5 to 15 inches in overall length and features turned wooden main and side handles, a 3-jaw chuck, and cast iron gearing. This tool shows expected cosmetic wear, surface patina, and paint loss consistent with age and shop use, making it a great piece for antique tool collectors or traditional woodworking tool setups.
