Designed by Max Kannegiesser, who was a German nationality and, was an essential figure in Czechoslovak glassmaking after World War II due to his expertise, including the invention and patenting of a green glaze. He worked as an important designer for the national company Borske Sklo during the 1950s and 1960s. In the mid-1960s, due to changing laws, he was able to move his family to the Federal Republic of Germany, where he subsequently worked for Schott in Zwiesel with his son.
