This superb smaller sized piece has a rather flat form with simple curves and diamond tooth detailing to both faces. An ornately curved Tiki, complete with small inlaid paua shell eyes and engraved detailing to both sides, adorns the inner curve of the club. Simple curved detailing to the butt of the club perfectly completes this fine vintage hand crafted example. A fine addition to any Kiwiana, Maori, Pacific Islands, Oceanic or Tribal art collection! Simple curved detailing to the butt of the club perfectly completes this fine vintage hand crafted example.SIZE: This superb Patu measures approx 250mms in length and 90mms in width.CONDITION: This piece is presented in excellent vintage condition with no cracks, breaks or repairs. There are some minor superficial scuffs and scratches which rather enhance the charm and character of this authentically vintage example. The inlaid paua shell remains stable and free of cracks. This fine example has developed a pleasing mellow patina and has a wonderful feel.
