1902 Union Traction Co Albany NY Stock Certificate 12 Revenue Stamps Trolley RR
An authentic antique stock certificate issued in 1902 by the Union Traction Company serving the Albany, Troy, Watervliet, and Rensselaer region during the golden age of electric street railways.
This certificate represents a fascinating piece of early American transportation and financial history, dating from the era when electric trolley systems transformed cities before the rise of the automobile.
A standout feature is the reverse, displaying twelve original U.S. Documentary Revenue Stamps, evidence of multiple taxable stock transfers over the certificate's corporate life. The president's signature has been officially cancelled, a normal practice when shares were transferred or retired, confirming the certificate's authentic use.
With its classic engraved design and over 120 years of history, this is an exceptional collectible for display or investment.

Given its age, it does or can show toning, foxing, edge wear, cancellation marks, a beautiful large vignette, ornate borders, raised corporate seal and printed by American Bank Note NY.
