Up for sale is a deeply historic, highly collectible piece of American military history: an official United States Flag flown over the USS Arizona Memorial in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. This flag was flown on December 7, 1991, at 1937 hours (7:37 PM) to commemorate the historic 50th Anniversary of the Pearl Harbor attack.
The flag comes housed in its gorgeous, original, custom-crafted triangular display shadow box made of genuine Hawaiian Koa wood.
Provenance & Authentication Details:
The reverse side of the shadow box features the original factory stamp confirming the casing is "Genuine Koa Wood - Made in Hawaii by BIK Enterprises." The back board also retains its original, authentic paper documentation sheet issued by the Fleet Reserve Association (FRA) Branch 46 based in Honolulu, HI. The document is officially stamped with the exact commemorative flight details: DEC 7 1991 - 1937. Please note: The secondary loose paper certificate sheet typically tucked inside the casing is NOT present; however, the vital official FRA tracking paperwork is completely intact and attached to the back of the frame as pictured.
Condition Details:
This commemorative military display is in excellent, well-preserved vintage condition. The genuine Koa wood frame showcases a beautiful, rich natural grain and retains a smooth finish with only faint, expected cosmetic shelf wear from age. The glass insert is clean, clear, and secure. The flag remains folded in its proper star-forward presentation layout and shows no signs of heavy fading or moisture damage. The original paper authentication backing sheet shows natural age toning, tape residue, and light edge wear but remains completely legible. Please closely review all high-resolution photos to inspect the exact cosmetic state of this piece.
A truly remarkable, museum-grade addition for any WWII historian, US Navy veteran, or serious Pearl Harbor militaria collector!
Shipping & Handling:
To honor and preserve this exceptional piece of history, the shadow box will be heavily padded in layers of professional bubble wrap and shipped securely inside a rigid, thick cardboard box to guarantee the Koa wood and glass arrive in flawless condition. Please ask any questions prior to purchasing. Thank you for looking!
