This is an ORIGINAL USGI CASE USM4 bayonet with original USGI Scabbard, marked USM8A1 BMCO
The bayonet has that "been there, done that" look. The blade has not been sharpened but shows some discoloration and finish loss.
The original stacked leather grips are complete and secure but do show signs of use and age with some knicks and scratches.
There is no rust on this bayonet. Ricasso is a little loose due to shrinkage of the leather.
The scabbard is original as well and is marked USM8A1 made by BMCO. It looks really good for its age and is marked with a rack # (4) on the front under the throat.
This is a really cool bayo/scabbard combo and would make a great addition to any WWII or M1 collection.
