This highly detailed 2025 Thunderbirds 2" Challenge coin represents the teams 72nd Anniversary. You'll see a close-up depiction of the Lead Solo F-16C #5 in full afterburner breaking left as the #6 Opposing Solo F-16C breaks right, behind them the tight Diamond Formation fly's vertical with smoke on. The opposite side shows the teams trademarked crest with a band of historical aircraft the team has flown since first forming in 1953.
This coin was designed by Honorary Thunderbird and Aviation Artist Michael J. Cooney and produced in limited quantity. It's produced by Flightline America and officially licensed by the U.S. Air Force.
It was crafted as die struck brass, silver plated with a two-inch diameter, three millimeters thick. This two-sided design is highly detailed, hand enameled with vibrant color and a diamond cut edge.
