Unusual vintage table lamp, constructed of solid brass hands holding a glass sphere/ ball/ globe, mounted on a marble base. The spherical glass shade rests in the hands and sits over the light source. The spherical glass shade is a pale pink color and has a texture which gives it a spotted or dimpled look. This lamp takes a small bulb and so is useful as an accent lamp. Wiring has been checked and the light works. There is a switch on the power cord. I estimate the lamp dates from the 1960's-70's, having a distinctive Mid Century Modern look. It puts me in mind of a fortune teller. There is no maker's mark. This is a heavy piece, weighs about 12 lbs. The lamp base is 11" tall, about 7" wide. No chips or cracks or breakage.
