U.S. NAVY BLUE NOSE SUBMARINE INSIGNIA BADGE - BLUE ENAMEL For Sale

This sale is for a U.S. NAVY BLUE NOSE SUBMARINE INSIGNIA BADGE - BLUE ENAMEL.This is a badge I designed. I earned my Blue Nose title 5 times on the USS BIRMINGHAM SSN-695 in the early 80's. I know there are a bunch of Submarine Sailors who earned this title the same way I did making Northern Runs in the Atlantic or going to the North Pole under the ice. To be a Blue Nose you would have to go North of 66.34 Degrees Lat. It is approximately 2.75" in length. It has the following engraved on the back: "ORDER OF THE BLUE NOSE" , "ABOVE 66.34 LAT" & NUMBER "# of 50". I also have 3 types: Antique Gold & Silver & Blue Enamel.
I served on this submarine(USS BIRMINGHAM SSN-695)in the early 80's (1982-1985) while it was stationed at Norfolk VA & Pearl Harbor, HI. I rode her through the Panama Canal when she changed Homeports. Contact me if you have any questions. This is an "AS IS" Sale.
