Beautifully recreated in exquisite detail. These little x4 Trilobite replicas come in their own Bell jars display cases to keep them safe. Each one has a Brass effect plate inside the Bell Jar with his name and time of existence and is mounted on a solid brass rod fitted into the base. These unique replica trilobites are made and hand painted in the UK. The Dome does not unscrew and the Trilobite is fixed to the brass rod inserted into the base (not removable from the brass rod or base).
I have shown a two pence coin next to one of the images so you can see the true scale of the item (2p coin not included).
Dimensions L =7cm x W =7cm x H =11cm (Dimensions shown are for the Bell Jar and not the replica Trilobite inside).Colours may vary slightly as each Trilobite is hand finished.
The Trilobite is made from solid resin, hand painted, mounted on a brass rod and displayed in a polycarbonate clear dome bell jar.
Trilobite fossils are the preserved remains of trilobites, which were diverse marine arthropods that lived from the Cambrian to the end of the Permian period, around 521 to 250 million years ago. They are known for their hard exoskeletons and have left an extensive fossil record, with over 25,000 species described.
