Item Description
Here is a nice antique engraving of Independence Hall and the facsimile signatures of the Declaration of Independence signatories for your buying consideration. Would make a great gift for a special occasion, or keep for yourself!
The piece has a a beautiful rendering of Independence Hall in Philadelphia, PA. Has birds flying above and below the building.
Then below Independence Hall are machine generated signatures of the men whom signed the Declaration of Independence in that building in 1776. The engraving was done by M F Tobin in 1899.
The paper the engraving is done on does show browning. Some minor spotting on the engraving. A crinkling to the engraving\'s paper at the bottom middle.
The Engraving is in and older wood frame. Has a gold colored paint finish on the wood with beading around the inside perimeter of the frame. The frame shows some finish loss and separation at the corners, still structurally sound. Nice wood shingled back on the frame.
The matting is an antique white color and shows some spotting. Most notable spot is at the top middle of the matting.
The glass over the engraving is intact, no cracking or blistering.
The Antique Framed Engraving is 27\" tall, by 23-7/8\" across, by .75\" wide. The engraving showing thru the matting is 17-5/8\" tall, by 14-3/8\" across. The hanging wire is still on the frame.

- Returns are accepted by seller within 30 days of receipt of item where an item is not as described. The Buyer will be assessed a 15% fee of the Item Cost, plus 115% of both Shipping Costs should they decide to return this item for whatever the reason.
- Please note that a fee is charged toto cover costs related to the loss of listing time and other potential sales, plus the amount of care and time that goes into preparing our unique and fragile items for shipping.
