The Thunderbird Casino was the fourth resort to open on the strip. Later renamed to The Silver Bird from 1976 until 1982. Then renamed to the El Rancho after the El Rancho Vegas that burned down in 1960. The first $1 gaming tokens were minted in 1965. Before 1965, all casinos used Silver Dollars in dollar slot machines and in some table games. Own a piece of history with this token. These are difficult to find and make for a great collector\'s item or gift. The token measures 43mm in diameter and are in mint condition.
