This is a new, improved version of the effect originally offered by Ed Mellon, which allows the performer to read a word from a pair of spectators\' minds as easily as if they were an open book!
Consists of a deck of 36 simple word cards, every card different and ungimmicked. Two spectators each select a different word and think of them.
The mentalist asks someone to take the deck of word cards and to remove a packet of cards from the middle of the deck, note the word at the bottom of this packet and then to put the packet on top of the deck.
The performer now spreads out the deck and asks another spectator to merely think of any word. The mentalist writes two words on separate slips of paper.
Needless to say, they are the selected words!
No short cards, double-faced cards, flap cards, stripped, or rough and smooth principles used. Nor are electronics or marked cards involved.No long study.The words the spectators are thinking of are the ones the performer reproduces.
