The Philco 41-629 is a highly collectible vintage floor-model radio and phonograph combination released in 1941. It is particularly famous for featuring the pioneering \"Beam of Light\" optical turntable, which used a light bulb and mirror system rather than a traditional heavy needle to play records.

As far as I can tell, my unit is in working order—the radio picks up broadcasts—but I do not know how to turn on or test the player; visually, all components are present, but some connections may be broken.
