The Italian Pavilion, 1933 Chicago World\'s Fair Booklet, lauds Mussolini, Balbo For Sale

The Century of Progress, Chicago World\'s Fair of 1933, vintage booklet entitled \"The Italian Pavilion. The Pavilion itself was designed in an ultra modernistic style shaped like an aircraft to honor General Italo Balbo\'s historic transatlantic seaplane squadron flight from Italy to Chicago. It was a sensation! Today, ask a Chicagoan who was Balbo Drive named for and you will probably just get a shrug. It was a dictator\'s grandstanding, because Benito Mussolini promoted Italy\'s participation in the great exposition. He was in better standing in 1933, because he had not yet invaded Ethiopia which came scarcely two years later. Gen. Balbo did some naughty things there also.

This booklet is 7\" x 5\", and consists of 22 pages. If you really want to know what a fine dude Mussolini was you can read it all right there. As said above it is in pristine condition.
