The Ethiopic Didascalia: The Reader's EditionThe Ethopic Didiscalia, translated from the Ethiopic Ge’ez language by J.M. Harden, also known as the Apostolic Constitutions, contains a summary of the teachings and practice of the early church in Ethiopia. Purported to have been written by the Apostles themselves, the Didiscalia were most likely written around 375 to 380 AD and were recognized as pseudography by as early as the 490s AD. Despite pseudographical nature of the work, it is still an important historical resource for understanding church doctrine, liturgy, and discipline in the 300s AD.
This Reader's Edition is based on a public domain text. This text has been thoroughly spellchecked and proofread to correct errors that appear in the public domain edition.
