The Adlake Non-Sweating Lamp Chicago Railroad Signal Lantern For Sale

Antique lantern converted (from kerosene to electric) in early 1970’s into a functioning lamp. My father got it from a neighbor friend who worked as an engineer on trains. The round knob turns a light switch. This is a great item for a boys bedroom, fun to have on at night, and a conversation piece: functional decorative art. These were hard to find 50 or 60 years ago, and now very collectible! It’s very cool, and I hate to part with it. But it brings many years of happy good warm memories, a joyful item! The light colors red, and blue, through the glass is very pretty. Whoever invented this lamp definitely got it right! It’s heavy duty, a tool from the past. Nowadays, it might be considered steampunk style? It’s not too industrial for a bedroom. I have always loved trains!! Thank you. I will dust it off and pack it with bubble wrap.
